Our latest client was a local business owner who knew exactly what he wanted and made our job much easier by telling us that up front.

Kr yptonite Music Lounge is a live music venue in Rockford, IL that started out years ago as a dance club. It has hosted some amazing shows ranging from local acoustic acts to nationally known stars like Afroman, The Red Elvises and Relient K. The website they had before us was filled to the brim with photos of people having a good time there, and they regularly updated the events and drink specials but something really important was missing -several things really.

Teaming up with Nick Dal Pra for the beautiful design, we rebuilt the site from the ground up. We've incorporated buttons for all the top social networking sites, added a live twitter feed in the side bar, and easy to use "share" buttons that allow you to instantly pass along any events or photos you want to get your friends in on.

The functionality of the site has been improved immensely, with easy to navigate buttons for the upcoming days of the weeks and their corresponding events and we even added a featured gallery where visitors can click through photos that have been hand picked by the Krypto-crew for their viewing pleasure.

Of course the content management system we've built for this client is a breeze to use, but possibly the best change of all is the Search Engine Optimization we've incorporated into the framework of the site itself. Rockford is just under two hours from Chicago and has a population around 160,000. After the site rebuild our JavaScript ninja decided to google search "Illinois Music Venues" -lo and behold, Kryptonite Limited from Rockford, IL is up there alongside a handful of buttons that are all clustered around that windy spot by the lake.

The site is up and running live, but our work here is not quite done. The last thing this client wanted was online ticket purchasing for the shows and events featured on the events sidebar. Forces beyond our control had to be summoned for this task and so it will be a little longer before the "Ticket Price" button becomes "Buy Tix Now" or something to that effect.
