We're still basking in the success that was our last launch here at Momentum Workshop. The Olympic Tavern site was a renovation of sorts, and after all is said and done it looks amazing. Of course the process was helped immensely by the fact that our client and contact for the job was so in tune with the importance and functionality of dynamic and relevant information.
Because we were provided with so much content for the site in the initial stages of building it (full menu on pdf, photos, events, specials, pre-existing twitter and facebook profiles, etc.) the whole thing came together looking rock solid.
When you've finally made the jump and are planning on or looking for a web site for your company, it's important to think of your web design firm as a representative of your customer base. What sort of information do you want your customers to have? Is it important that they know your location, your company's mission statement, or the best features you are currently offering? Do you want them to view your company as a home-grown organization with a concern for minimizing your ecological footprint, or would you rather they imagined you as a fast-paced marketplace for sharp new ideas and an aggresive strategy for success? Maybe you'd like them to see both.
Always take the time to consider what you want our of your site first, and do your best to convey that image to your design firm. A well designed website will be a canvas for you, as a business owner or administrator, to display your company's image and vision for their relationship with you.
